Je danse à l’école!

Objectives

Bringing the dance experience to life in an approach that is both playful and educational.

DESCRIPTION

Je danse à l’école! sets up practical workshops aimed at promoting dance and developing in students’ openness, curiosity and critical thinking. Three components are proposed, thus making it possible to adapt to the needs of students and teachers. Here is an overview and their declination.

Phases

Descovery

The “Discovery” section is an introduction to dance based on a few historical notions related to other art forms.

EXPLORATION

The “Exploration” component aims to introduce young people to the dance experience, both technically and creatively.

Technique: experience dance through practical movement workshops in a given technique.

Creativity: around the act of creating dance, offer a sample of compositional tools.

Challenge

The “Challenge” section allows you to deepen the technical bases of dance on the one hand and, on the other hand, to initiate a creative process in dance.

On the technical level: introduce the student to a dance training mode in a synthesis of the different dance techniques. (Dance training means awakening the body to perform expressive movements.)

In terms of creativity: give the possibility of investing in a creative process by developing a dance composition.
