Description<\/h2>\n

Classical ballet<\/h3>\n

Classical ballet comes from a long tradition; its practice focuses on acquiring techniques that primarily train the body to become a malleable and expressive instrument.<\/p>\n

The \u00c9l\u00e9mentaire levels allow students to learn the basic steps in classical ballet. Over a period of 4 to 6 years, students acquire basic knowledge of classical ballet. The Interm\u00e9diaire level courses target the development, complexity and refinement of dance steps, as well as the subtlety and nuance in the execution of the movement. At this level, the student continues to learn by aiming for technical knowledge and artistic expression.<\/p>\n

Pointes and variations<\/h3>\n

Before undertaking this type of training, the student must have completed basic training. Pointe classes require a hard-toed shoe that is fitted to the student\u2019s foot. This training is intended exclusively for girls who are sufficiently advanced in their growth, around the age of 12. These complementary courses to the intermediate training allow to learn choreographies recognized for their level of technical and artistic difficulty.<\/p>\n
