{"id":2726,"date":"2023-08-22T19:30:56","date_gmt":"2023-08-22T19:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jedanse.ca\/programmes-speciaux\/je-danse-mieux-etre\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T14:15:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T14:15:02","slug":"je-danse-mieux-etre","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jedanse.ca\/en\/cours\/programmes-speciaux\/je-danse-mieux-etre\/","title":{"rendered":"JE DANSE MIEUX-\u00caTRE (Mental health challenge)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Description<\/h2>\n<p><em>Je danse mieux-\u00eatre <\/em>offers a series of workshops for young people, aged 12 to 18, who are struggling with mental health issues.<\/p>\n<p>These series of workshops are presented in three parts:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Elaboration of self-exploration sessions using movement and breathing based on the Feldenkrais somatic method.<\/li>\n<li>Construction on the principles of dance creation.<\/li>\n<li>Application of acquired knowledge to explore expression through movement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Objectives<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To offer an activity designed for young people and to connect them with their potential for achievement.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage young people to explore their creativity by connecting with their body and mind.<\/li>\n<li>To introduce young people to wellness through movement and, potentially, artistic expression.<\/li>\n<li>To develop a physical well-being, which will lead to a highly beneficial transfer to the mental well-being.<\/li>\n<li>To promote a cultural initiative that benefits the overall well-being of young people in our community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Target audience<\/h2>\n<p>These workshops are aimed at young people aged 12 to 18 struggling with mental health issues, such as performance or generalized anxiety, stress management, low self-confidence, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, etc.<\/p>\n<h2>Calendar<\/h2>\n<p>Three series of workshops are planned to accommodate three age groups:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>12-14 year olds<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0Secondary I et II<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>14-16 year olds<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0Secondary III et IV<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>16-18 year olds<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0Secondary V<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Each series of workshop consists of:<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 311px;\" width=\"701\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Bloc # 1<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0<\/td>\n<td>60 min. per week\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03:30 to 4:30 p.m.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0October to December<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Bloc # 2<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>75 min. per week\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03:30 to 4:45 p.m.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0January to March<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Bloc # 3<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>90 min. per week\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03:30 to 5:00 p.m.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 March to June<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>*Participation to the workshop must be done in order 1,2 and 3.<\/p>\n<p>NB:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 5 students from the same age group is required to start a group.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum capacity is 10 students per group to ensure the best chance of success in terms of mental health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Participation fee<\/h3>\n<p>The registration fee is $50<\/p>\n<p>The participation fee per block is calculated at a rate of $20.50\/hour per 10 weeks<\/p>\n<p>*Applicable taxes for youth aged 15 and over.<\/p>\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special Calendar<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Taming mental well-being through movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>07 April to 09 June<\/td><td>16-18 years<\/td><td>Mondays 5&nbsp;:30pm to 4&nbsp;:30pm<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>10 April to 12 June<\/td><td>12-16 years<\/td><td>Thursdays 5&nbsp;:30pm to 4&nbsp;:30pm<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participation Fee:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The registration fee is $50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The participation fee is $200 per participant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Taxes apply for youth aged 15 and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Description Je danse mieux-\u00eatre offers a series of workshops for young people, aged 12 to 18, who are struggling with mental health issues.
